SIOS is proud to sponsor the PASSMN’s July user group meeting. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend checking out this month’s session Analyzing SQL Server I/O, presented by Mike Matthews.

He will be discussing SQL Server performance can be greatly impacted by the storage subsystem.  By analyzing the I/O patterns generated by SQL Server, one can gain additional insight that can be used to help identify and address performance issues.  After a brief overview of disk I/O and how SQL Server works with storage, he’ll examine several SQL Server workloads from an I/O perspective and take action to improve their performance.
